The study into objects and things in later life was designed after visual inspirations. Informants were asked to take pictures of their possessions, such as their favourite places, people, presents, or furniture, and even of annoying or unused objects. The photo narrative is a fruitful source of inspiration both as a visual cue and a historical document.
