The aim of this project was to look at practices of doing kinship with pictures and objects. It aimed to analyse these issues through the use and employment of ethnographic research methods in two adjacent districts namely the 8th and the 16th district in Vienna. Three ethnographic sites were explored: photo studios, senior residences, call shops. A scientific team composed of affiliates from anthropology, ethnology, art education and design, informed the research and working methods throughout the project.
