Relationship crises, life crises, and small financial disasters interrupt daily life for everyone. A break-up ends a common apartment - the lost relationship means lost furniture. Suddenly, cartons serve as wardrobes, and moving boxes appear everywhere. Photos, letters, and presents disappear forever into a shoebox. When furniture is desired but there is a money shortage, boxes act as placeholders for the wanted pieces. And sometimes, a lucky cardboard box is upgraded to full-fledged furniture. The cardboard box, in all of its forms, is the temporary company and comfort of those who haven’t arrived yet. It represents an intermediate solution, promising order amidst chaos and a new start.
